a) Advantages of using LED:

LEDs offer long life with a predictable intensity fall off. Manufacturers specify a lifespan of 100,000 hours for red (660nm) LEDs. Other colors, including blue (470nm), white, and green (520nm) offer approximately 10,000 hours of stable performance.

LEDs are versatile. Available in both the visible spectrum and UV/IR, LEDs are small, energy efficient, and economical.
LEDs can be strobed faster than any other light source, and have very short rise times.
LEDs are stable, solid state devices, capable of functioning in a variety of environments.
LEDs are extremely efficient, and require significantly less current than other light sources.

b) Advantages of using Advanced Illumination’s LED lighting

Advanced Illumination uses highly sophisticated ideas to provide innovative solutions.

Evenlite Technology. With Ai’s patented Evenlite and Evenlite II process, LEDs can be aimed to place light exactly where it is needed. LED light sources can also be placed remotely from power supplies and controllers. Output of LEDs are maximized, creating consistant illumination from greater distances and over larger areas. By aiming, fewer LEDs are used resulting in lower operating temperatures, eliminating the need for cooling fans or heat sinking.

RGB. Ai is the only LED machine vision lighting manufacturer building RGB lightheads. The
combination of Red, Green and Blue LEDs creates a bright white (true white) that is color tunable
for maximum image contrast. RGB lights also have much longer lifespans than the white LEDs currently available.

Expandable Lighting System. Customized sizes built specifically for your application in a short lead time.

SignaTech electronics verify the elctronic signature of a light head and automatically adjust the
maximum current output accordingly. This feature optimizes light output and LED life. New Signatech II
is the only device available in the world today that can drive 10 or more, high-power LED’s at maximum
turbo-charged levels. In addition, signature memory has been greatly expanded to increase the number of stored operation parameters.

Broad Area Linear Array (BALA) LED Illuminators
